Florie at the 2026 Juneteenth Music Festival

At the 2026 Juneteenth Music Festival in St. Ferdinand Park, Florie stepped in front of the largest crowd of her solo career, more than 1,000 people, as one of the opening acts for Dirty Muggs. Her set wove Afrobeats, R&B and Amapiano together with the weight of the day itself, a celebration of remembrance, freedom and community.

A set built on range

Florie moved through "Rush" and "Bloody Samaritan," covers including "Power" and 3NTITY's "Dream," and her own single "On One." It was a deliberate mix: the music that shaped her, the culture she comes from and the artistry that is entirely hers.

Seasoned on big stages

Scale is not new to Florie. She signed with Storm Records in Lagos in 2007 as part of the sibling group N-Jection and opened for some of the biggest global Afrobeats stars before relocating to St. Louis, where the group performed at the Festival of Nations for twelve consecutive years. Juneteenth carried a different kind of meaning, though, one measured in purpose rather than headcount.

What stood out to the people in attendance was how little the size of the moment changed her. The presence that defines her intimate club sets and civic performances was fully intact in front of a festival crowd a thousand strong. It is part of why her return as a solo artist feels less like a comeback and more like an arrival.

She's more than a sound. She's an experience.

As Florie keeps reintroducing herself release by release and stage by stage, the Juneteenth Music Festival stands as one of the clearest signs yet of where her music is headed.
